2018 Healthy Incentives Challenge






Ready, Set, Go! 5210 is an initiative to promote healthy lifestyle choices for children, youth, and families. The Healthy Incentive Challenge aims to make the healthy choice the easy choice by making small changes in children’s environments.

How it Works

The Challenge offers $100 – $500 for organizations serving newborn to 8 year old children to make their environment healthier. Project Child Success will purchase and deliver items. No cash will be awarded. All awardees will be highlighted in media, press releases, and marketing efforts.

Who Can Apply?

Any organization in Pierce County, Washington, serving newborn to 8 year old children. This includes child care centers, family child care, preschool, nonprofit, workplace, school, or business.

Sample Ideas

We’re looking for creative and innovative ideas. Examples include: bicycle helmets to get kids moving, water coolers, rubber boots to get kids outside, delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables, or many others!

Application Instructions

Simply complete the online application by clicking the apply button below. Applications must show which 5210 objective (see color chart above) their ideas meet, and how the items will improve the child’s environment. Limit one entry per organization. Applications will be accepted February 1 – February 28. Paper applications are available upon request and must be postmarked by February 28. Awards will be announced in April. Limited number of awards will be granted, based on available funding.
